Jim qualified as a Solicitor in 1972 and commenced his professional career with the late Liam Collins Solicitor. He immediately set up a litigation department and quickly earned a reputation for being an able and skilled litigator throughout the County of Cork. Jim specialises in litigation and leads a very strong energetic and specialised team dealing with all types of litigation.

Roni Collins

Having graduated from UCC with a BCL degree in 1984 Roni trained with Collins Brooks, qualifying as a solicitor in 1988 and becoming a partner in 2005. She has worked in all areas in the practice but specialises in residential, agricultural and commercial conveyancing. She also heads up the firms Probate Department in addition to advising in the area of Wills and Estate Planning.

 Lorna Brooks

Lorna Brooks

Partner
In keeping with a family tradition Lorna qualified as a Solicitor in 2005. She then went on to obtain a Masters Degree from the University of Sheffield in Biotechnological Law and Ethics focusing on areas of reproductive technologies, genetic privacy, stem cell research and GMO’s. Lorna works in the litigation department and has gained considerable experience in all areas of litigation in all Court Jurisdictions.

Conrad Murphy

Conrad re-joined Collins Brooks in 2017 having spent six years working as barrister and solicitor litigating cases in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Canada. Conrad obtained his BCL degree from UCC in 2003 and qualified as a solicitor in Ireland in 2008 after receiving his training at Collins Brooks. Conrad has a passion for advocating on behalf of his clients and has experience in many areas of litigation. Conrad is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, and as a barrister and solicitor in British Columbia, Canada. Conrad previously played football for Clonakilty and Cork. He now spends his time competing in triathlons, running and enjoying his young family.

Emma O'Brien

Emma O'Brien

Emma graduated from UCC in 1997 with an Honours BCL, qualified in 2000 and has developed a general practice having extensive experience in a number of areas. Emma takes a friendly approach to her clients whilst providing a pragmatic and efficient service. The focus of her work at the moment is Residential and Commercial Property Acquisition, Sale and Lease, Will drafting and Estate Planning. Emma has also acted for a number of developers of housing estates. Emma also looks after General Commercial Advice and Transactions as well as Liquor Licensing.

Bebhinn Murphy

Bebhinn graduated from UCC with an Honours BCL in 1998, She then completed a first class honours Post Graduate Higher Diploma in Marketing and Management in UCC in 1999. Bebhinn spent 3 years working in Corporate Marketing for a leading Telecommunications provider before returning to the Law. Bebhinn entered the Roll of Solicitors in 2005 whilst working at Fitzgerald Solicitors and has been with Collins Brooks & Associates since 2007. Bebhinn practices in all areas of Litigation, with a particular interest in Employment Law, Personal Injuries and Debt recovery. Bebhinn is experienced in Private Client and Commercial Litigation for both Plaintiffs and Defendants ,in all court Jurisdictions as well as, Alternative Dispute Resolution, including Arbitration and Mediation.

Denis graduated from UCC with an Honours BCL degree in 1995. Following a period with the Legal Aid Board Denis qualified as a Solicitor in 2000 whilst working with Wolfe & Co. Solicitors, Skibbereen and was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2010. Denis joined Collins, Brooks & Associates in 2016. Denis also holds a Diploma in Legal Studies, a Diploma in Trust and Estate Planning and a Certificate in Decision Making Capacity and Support. Denis specialises in Succession Law, Administration of Estates, Wills and Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning and Conveyancing. He is a member of the Solicitors for the Elderly and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Roisin Cahill graduated from NUIG in 2004 with BA and LLB honours degrees and qualified as a Solicitor in 2009. Roisin is also admitted to the roll of Solicitors in England and Wales. Roisin is from Clonakilty and now lives in Ardfield. She has a broad range of experience and has a background in Family Law, Construction Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Windfarm Leases and Option Agreements, Commercial and Residential Conveyancing, Wills and Administration of Estates. Roisin joined Collins Brooks & Associates in 2020 and now specialises in the Purchase and Sale of Residential Property, Mortgages and Re-Mortgages, Renewable Energy Projects, Boundary Issues, the Administration of Estates and Drafting of Wills.
